Kosovo started in the ascendancy and almost took the lead early on through Nuhiu's header. However, England weathered the storm and stabilised the game before taking the lead through Winks' calm finish towards the end of the half.
Kosovo started strongly again in the second period and had many chances through Rrahmani to equalise from set-pieces.

England are looking to just calmly see this game out and they're enjoying a period of sustained possession now with little resistance. Well, Kosovo looked as though they were tiring and England have made their extra energy count with two quick goals in the last ten minutes.
This was always the danger as the hosts were forced to commit extra players forward in search of an equaliser. Alexander-Arnold is replaced by Tomori as England experiment a little after securing a comfortable lead.
Sterling has been a constant threat on the counter-attack all game and he makes Kosovo pay by scurrying past a number of challenges in the middle of the pitch before setting up Rashford with a selfless throughball.
The away side are looking confident now and they counter-attack again with Sterling's enterprising run through the centre of the pitch, before he slips Rashford in behind who curls a low finish first time into the bottom corner just inside the box!
Nuhiu comes off for Rashani as Kosovo look for two late goals. Sterling jinks past Rashica down the right before drilling in a cross that forces Aliti into a hurried clearance that he miscues towards the back post, where Kane is on hand to firmly volley in that crucial second goal for England!
